Local Living, Inspired Homes and a New Year in OKC Metro

with Terri McQueen, REALTOR®

With the holidays behind us, this is the perfect time to reset + get ready for a fresh start and a great year ahead here in our local community.

So in my January newsletter, I'm sharing some of my favorite tips and insights when it comes to local living & inspired home decor this month. Plus, a look at the last year in real estate in the OKC Metro if you're simply curious or are interested in how the insights could impact your home or real estate goals this year.

I hope you enjoy, and I'm wishing you all the best for 2025 -

🎨 Meet the color you might be seeing everywhere this year

It’s no surprise this color is having its moment - it’s stylish and works with a number of design styles.

Misty Blue is soft, calming, and the perfect balance of modern and timeless. Think of it as a mix between a light sky blue and a subtle gray—bringing an airy, tranquil vibe to any space.

👉 Want to jump on the trend? Here are some simple ways to bring the shade into your home -

🔹 Paint the walls
It's a top color choice for bedrooms, bathrooms, or even a serene home office.

🔹 Use it in accent pieces
Look for throw pillows, vases, or art that bring in that soft blue touch.

🔹 Bring it in with furniture pieces
Try it on a statement chair or a kitchen island for a pop of color that’s still neutral enough to flow with the rest of your space.

So give it a try! And for more helpful home inspo & content like this, be sure to follow along on social @Terri.M@StetsonBentley.com

☕️ Where I'm working this year -

One of my favorite places to get work done is actually at a local cafe or coffee shop.

And this winter, I’m all about cozying up at some of the most inviting spots in our community. It’s where I like to recharge between showings, meet with clients, or tackle my to-do list.

And at the same time, I'm getting out and about in this place I love calling home.

📍Right now, I'm loving the Prov Coffee and Bakery at 63rd and MacArthur.

It's my go-to spot because of it's location and special blends of coffee.

So check it out if you're looking for a cozy pick-me-up or a space to get some work done this season, too!

🤔 Curious how the market shaped up in 2024?

From home prices to inventory levels, I'm breaking down the key stats to know about real estate trends in Oklahoma City and Edmond.

They're good to know as we head into a new year with new real estate goals in mind -

🏠 Home Prices Show a slight decline

  • Oklahoma City and Edmond average sale price was $215,393,

Homes Were Taking More Time to Sell

  • Homes spent an average of 37 on the market in 2024.
  • Slower sales gave buyers more time to decide and negotiate.

🏘 Inventory Levels Were Rising

  • More inventory means buyers have more choices and sellers face greater competition.
